The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) may suffer a mistaken identity attack and wind up an accidental victim. Will Detective Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge) target Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) with disastrous results?

For starters, we should note that Christel Khalil’s maternity leave is coming up.
The show’s going to need an exit ramp for Lily, so we have to start thinking about how she’ll be temporarily written out.
There are also Y&R spoilers about Devon Winters (Bryton James) having an immediate family member who runs into some trouble.
A close relative of Devon’s is about to face a dangerous situation, so there’s a chance it’ll be Lily.
During the week of December 15-19, it’ll be revealed that Annie has joined Matt Clark aka “Mitch Bacall” (Roger Howarth) in Genoa City.
Matt will deliver some unsettling new orders to Annie regarding Sienna, so let’s talk about those, too.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) booked a decoy room at the GCAC, which is tied to Sienna’s name.
It won’t take Annie long to assume Noah’s tucked Sienna away in a suite, so she’ll give Matt updates.
Matt will want Annie to target Sienna while he’s presumably off dealing with other vengeful goals.
Annie may complain about Sienna being stuck to Noah like glue and wonder how she’s supposed to corner her alone.
However, Matt won’t care how difficult it is and will push Annie to “take care of Sienna.”
That could mean Matt wants Sienna kidnapped again or it could mean that he wants her wiped off the map.

Either way, Annie will no doubt get to work, but she’s already proven she tends to botch the jobs she tackles.
Back in Los Angeles, Annie lost control and dropped her weapon, so she’s not exactly a dream partner to work with.
Perhaps Annie will make another blunder that leads to a mistaken identity shocker.
What if Annie goes after Sienna and accidentally makes Lily her victim instead?
Since Lily and Sienna have similar hair, they might look alike from the back.
It’s easy to imagine Annie sneaking up behind “Sienna” and bashing her in the head or chloroforming her.
Annie might even put a bag over her victim’s head depending on how all this plays out.
Imagine Annie’s surprise if she ultimately realizes she’s attacked or abducted Lily by mistake!
A coma exit at the hospital might be a good way to keep Lily out of the picture during Khalil’s maternity leave.
Then again, Lily might be held captive somewhere instead.
Matt might decide he can make this hostage blunder work since Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has always cared about Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) and his children.
Lily could either be off-screen during most of this captivity crisis or be so traumatized afterward that she leaves town to get support from the twins.
Whatever the case, there could be some mistaken identity drama coming up involving Lily, especially if it helps with a maternity leave explanation for Khalil.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say some chaos is brewing no matter what, so stay tuned for all the wild Matt news to come.
