Parent-child relationships are complicated all over the world, but especially on General Hospital. And mother-daughter relationships are particularly challenging. But GH’s Willow and Charlotte are making them even more difficult… by being selfish brats. For no good reason.
No Good Deed Goes Unpunished
Nina (Cynthia Watros) would do anything for Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Even though Willow treated Nina horribly before she knew Nina was her mother. Even though Willow treated Nina horribly after she knew Nina was her mother.
Even though Willow treats Nina horribly despite Nina completely supporting her in the custody battle for Wiley and Amelia, and went so far as to offer to pay for a lawyer, as Willow is under suspicion for shooting Drew (Cameron Mathison).
Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder
While Lulu (Alexa Havins) was in a coma, Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) regularly came to sit at her bedside and weep into her elbow. But once Lulu woke up, Charlotte was less loving to her mom. Especially now that they suspect Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) is back in Port Charles, and looking to run off with his little angel.

Innocent Prey
Willow and Charlotte harbor numerous resentments about how their mothers weren’t there for them during their formative years. And, for some reason, they are blaming their moms. Uhm, Willow, sweetie, Nina was IN A COMA when you were born. Madeline (Donna Mills) stole Willow’s newborn babies and distributed them around the country. Nelle (Chloe Lanier) went to bastard Frank Benson.
Willow was dropped off in the woods with loony Harmony, who raised her daughter in a cult and pimped her out to the leader. Charlotte, for her part, was created from an egg Helena (Constance Towers) stole from Lulu. Valentin stole the resulting embryo, which gestational surrogate Claudette (Bree Williamson) ran off with.
Sure, Nina and Lulu weren’t there for Willow and Charlotte. BUT NONE OF IT WAS THEIR FAULT. And their daughters should take that into consideration.
