BRUNO FERNANDES knew Mason Mount was the right man to help Manchester United back to the top.
When Mount, 24, was announced as the Red Devils’ new signing, Fernandes posted a picture of the two of them confronting each other in a game against Chelsea.

He captioned it: “Why did you take so long to sign!”
Now the new Man Utd captain, 28, will be putting an arm round his new £55million team-mate as they link up to try and fire the club to the Premier League summit next season.
And Fernandes believes that fiery side of Mount is just what the team needs.
He said: “We need that aggression and passion, we need players to be like that in games.
“These are the kind of players that I like to play against and even more to have in my side.
“Now, I will do everything I can to defend him.”
Manager Erik ten Hag has already expressed his excitement at the prospect of Mount, Fernandes and Casemiro linking up next term.
Fernandes — who takes over the captain’s armband from Harry Maguire this season — also praised Mount’s technical ability.
He added: “I said a couple of years ago that he is one of the best players in the Premier League.
“We’re really happy to have him here, wherever he plays, as a No 10, No 8 or a winger.
“He’s really good at pressing, he has a lot of energy and he’s really good on the ball. He has goals and assists in him too.
“We’re expecting a lot from him but he’s aware of that.
“He’s knows expectations will be big. He has a point to prove like everyone else.”
