Audra’s dirty little secret has been revealed on The Young and the Restless. After months of teasing, Holden finally confessed about his and Audra’s past in L.A. Unfortunately, fans were left feeling let down after the reveal.
Audra’s Con Job
From the moment Holden (Nathan Owens) arrived in Genoa City, it was obvious he and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) had a past. Slowly, tidbits about their history were revealed and it was implied the two committed an illegal crime in Los Angeles. Immediately, speculation ran rampant about what Audra and Holden did. Theories ranged from murder to Holden helping Audra hide Noah’s (Lucas Adams) baby that she “miscarried.”
After months of teasing, their secret was finally revealed during Holden’s L.A. trip. Holden confessed to Claire (Hayley Erin) that Audra stole $500,000 from a guy at The Shadow Room. When the angry customer returned demanding his money, Holden covered for Audra.
Holden and Audra’s secret was meant to be a bombshell but ended up being a dud. Y&R fans on Reddit didn’t hold back in expressing their disappointment with the reveal. “Anticlimactic. Like, that’s it? I was thinking it was going to be an accidental death or long-term con job or something major,” wrote one viewer.
“It was horrible. A huge nothing. Either Holden is lying or the writers think we are stupid and have forgotten Audra and Holden’s combative interactions in GC and the frequent Tucker involvement mentions,” one fan replied.
However, some fans think this story is far from over. “I think he’s holding back and sugarcoating what actually happened with Audra,” one user wrote. “It’s obvious that Holden didn’t tell the entire story,” one commenter replied.
