Salah’s brace places him among the esteemed group of Premier League greats as Diogo Jota scores three goals to help Klopp’s team recover from a bad week

Mo Salah joined a select club of Premier League greats as Liverpool capitalized on their early start to go up to a shared top spot in the standings.

In just the fourth Premier League player’s history, Salah scored goals in each of the first six home games of the season. Les Ferdinand, Thierry Henry, and Alan Shearer were the other three.

Additionally, the Egyptian King had either scored or assisted on a goal for the 15th consecutive league game at Anfield.

Liverpool then easily won at home thanks to a third goal from Diogo Jota.

Wataru Endo, a summer acquisition, started his first Premier League game at Anfield due to the wind and rain after Alexis Mac Allister was given a one-match ban.

Ben Mee, a 34-year-old defender, made his Brentford debut after missing action in September due to a muscle injury.

Ethan Pinnock nearly scored a close-range goal early on for Liverpool, which put a lot of pressure on Brentford’s back four.

Darwin Nunez was always aware of the events around him. Following a stop by Mark Flekken at his near post, two goals were ruled back for offside.

He first sidefooted a shot by Dominik Szoboszlai before hitting the ball over the head of Virgil van Dijk following his magnificent header save by Flekken. The two occasions the flag was raised were confirmed after VAR inspections. The breadth of a big toe was used to make the decision the first time.

Strong Liverpools could only be stopped by themselves. Bryan Mbuemo had a chance to score following Alexander-badard Arnold’s ball inside his own box, but his attempt was high.

After that, the striker was getting near to Alexander-Arnold in the goal, but Alisson saw the danger and saved.

Joel Matip was booked by referee Paul Tierney for a hit on Christian Norgaard, a move that infuriated the Kop even if Matip maintained his innocence.

Nunez performed better as a helper after almost scoring.

39 minutes later, he made a cunning turn and released Salah down the right side. It seems inevitable that the winger would put a shot into the bottom corner when it occurred next.

A second goal may have been scored by Nunez and Salah before halftime, but Salah scored it again after 62 minutes, just after VAR ruled that Endo’s falling challenge on Norgaard was not a foul.

.

Salah scored with a straightforward header after Kostas Tsimikas crossed from the byline to set up the goal.

When VAR confirmed that the ball had not crossed the line in its entirety, the game resumed. They said it hadn’t, and while it appeared to have, there wasn’t as much debate over it as there was following Newcastle’s most recent victory over Arsenal.

That effectively ended Brentford’s chances of winning their first game at Anfield since 1937. They were winning three straight games.

Jota scored the third goal 75 minutes in. By receiving a pass from Tsimikas on the left side of the penalty area, he was able to slip past Flekken and move inside Frank Onyeka.

When Luis Diaz entered the game in the 83rd minute as a substitution, he was warmly received. After his father’s release from Colombian incarceration, it was his first game at Anfield. Additionally, James McConnell, a 19-year-old player from the following generation, was brought on to start in the Premier League during extra time.
