The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Tuesday, December 16, reveals that double-crosser Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be the key to fighting back against Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
At Crimson Lights, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will suspect Phyllis has hidden reasons for being so concerned about Jabot, but she’ll act offended over his accusations and stomp off.
After Daniel mutters to himself about Phyllis being “so guilty,” he’ll get Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier) on the phone and voice some worries to her, too.
At the Newman ranch, Victor will pick up on the fact that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) isn’t acting all that triumphant about their latest victory at Newman Media.
Victor will assure Adam that there’s no need for remorse about what happened to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
After Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) comes blowing in, she’ll complain to Adam and Victor since she was blindsided by their attack on Jabot in the press.
Victor and Adam will insist it all came together quickly, so Chelsea will finally settle down.
Later, Phyllis will meet with Victor alone and gripe about the Jabot situation.
It’ll leave Phyllis thinking she was stupid to hand over the AI program as leverage since there may not be any company left for her to run.
Victor will urge Phyllis to relax and act like he couldn’t have anticipated that Jack would take Jabot offline.
Although Victor will act like everything’s still on track, Phyllis will demand to know if he’s reneging on their deal and screwing her over.
In the jazz lounge, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will talk to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about using Abbott Communications to generate some positive articles for Jabot, but he’ll convince her the optics on that wouldn’t be good.
At the Abbott mansion, Jack will strategize with Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), but there’ll be concerns about whether Jabot can come back from this.
Later, Billy will meet with Diane and Jack as well, so that’ll lead to Diane accusing Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) of leaking their plan to Victor.
Jack will vehemently defend Nikki, so Billy will back his brother up on Tuesday’s Y&R episode.
Talk will turn to Phyllis and how she could help eliminate the AI threat.
It’ll be decided that Billy should meet with Phyllis and offer her something she really wants to double-cross Victor.
Jack will confess that he’d be willing to offer just about anything at this point, so it sounds like Phyllis has an amazing proposition headed her way!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will hear Billy’s pitch soon, so he’ll give her updates on some big news that could affect her future.
