The Speak No Evil remake is set to hit theaters on September 13, 2024, coinciding with the release of Paramount’s Transformers One. Originally scheduled for August 9, the film’s release was postponed by a month.
Unlike recent Blumhouse productions, Speak No Evil will first have an exclusive theatrical run before streaming on Peacock. The first official trailer was unveiled during Universal’s Cinemacon 2024 presentation, offering audiences a glimpse into the suspenseful remake.
In the original film, Bjørn, Louise, and their daughter Agnes encounter Patrick, Karin, and their son Abel during a vacation in Italy. What starts as a seemingly pleasant encounter takes a dark turn as Patrick’s behavior becomes increasingly aggressive towards Louise.
Despite feeling uncomfortable, Bjørn and Louise decide to stay at Patrick and Karin’s country home, leading to a series of escalating events that put the family in grave danger. The remake promises to captivate audiences with its suspenseful storyline and stellar cast.
