Lewis Hamilton still can’t seem to get over the bitter defeat at Yas Marina, which saw him lose the world championship in unbelievable fashion.
Shortly after the controversial final race of the 2021 F1 season in Abu Dhabi, the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) held a gala in its honor. However, neither Lewis Hamilton nor Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff were present.
Temporarily forgetting the disappointment of losing the 8th world championship, thereby surpassing the legendary Michael Schumacher to become the most successful racer in history, Hamilton immediately returned to England. The “Black Pearl” and his mother were present at Windsor Castle to receive a very prestigious title of the British Royal Family.

However, by not attending the FIA’s gala in Paris, Hamilton will face a penalty under Article 6.6 of the F1 Regulations. “I understand Lewis’ feelings after that race but the rules are the rules. We will not tolerate any violations,” revealed new FIA President Ben Sulayem.
Max Verstappen and his girlfriend Kelly Piquet attended the party. Thanks to a daring soft tyre strategy, the efforts of teammate Sergio Perez and a lucky safety car on the final lap, “Mad Max” created a spectacular coup on the final lap at Yas Marina last weekend.
Of course, in Verstappen’s achievements, we cannot fail to mention Red Bull’s chief engineer, Christian Horner.
The 2021 F1 world championship promises to help Verstappen and Red Bull continue to fly high in the following seasons, challenging Mercedes’s dominance over the years.
