Rory McIlroy’s stunning recent record on the course has seen his wealth jump to a staggering amount

Rory McIlroy has notched another £65million onto his already staggering fortune, according to the 2026 Sunday Times Rich List. The golfing hero has jumped from a net worth of £260m to an eye-watering £325m, coming in at seventh on the list of the richest sportspeople in the UK.
The Northern Irish star has enjoyed a purple patch over the last year and a half. McIlroy, 37, broke his duck at the Masters in April 2025 and subsequently claimed a career grand slam, after finally winning all four of golf’s prestigious majors.
He also helped Europe win the Ryder Cup last September at Bethpage Black, New York, in tough conditions. In April this year, he successfully defended his Masters title, taking his major tally to six, becoming only the fourth man to win the competition back-to-back.
Official PGA figures reveal that McIlroy is one of only two players with lifetime earnings exceeding £74.2m, trailing only Tiger Woods. His total earnings are just shy of £86m.
The Masters 2026 purse was £16.7m, up from £15.6m in 2025. McIlroy’s recent boost in wealth this year will no doubt have been supported by the £3.3m he pocketed for triumphing at Augusta National last month.
He is thought to have banked £21.4m in on-course earnings between April 2025 and April 2026 according to Bunkered – £3.5m of which was awarded for his victory at the Players Championship in March of last year.
The Northern Irishman also profits from numerous sponsorship deals, supplementing his income from tournament wins. These include, but are not limited to, endorsement contracts with Nike and Omega which are said to generate him around £39m each year.
McIlroy’s bank balance is only escalating. The 2025 Sunday Times Rich List ranked him as the 19th-wealthiest individual under 40 in the UK, with a net worth of £260m.

That represented a jump of £35m from 2024 when the golf star was valued at £225m. It means that, in just under two years, the Holywood-born player has added a whopping £100m to his net worth.
McIlroy also owns an impressive real estate collection, featuring a £16.2m luxury estate in Jupiter, Florida, where he resides with his wife, Erica Stoll, and their five-year-old daughter, Poppy. His portfolio also includes a £10.6m estate in California, an apartment in New York City and properties in both the UAE and Northern Ireland.
The two-time Masters champion is in action at the PGA Championship this weekend at the Aronimink Golf Club, which resides just outside Philadelphia. While the prize fund for the second major of 2026 is yet to be announced, McIlroy could earn himself another £2.5m if he emerges victorious, which was the amount won by last year’s champion, Scottie Scheffler.
