And it seems that former bad boy-turned-Hillsong worshipper, Justin Bieber, 21, took the message literally on Monday at the famous Bondi Icebergs pool in Sydney.

The Baby singer was spotted head and body fully emerged in the fresh water outdoor pool on the chilly winter’s afternoon with his face to the sky.

Just a few hours before he was due to attend day one of the five day annual Hillsong Conference at Olympic Park’s Allphones Arena, Bieber looked calm and collected in the tranquil salty waters.

Possibly thinking about the prayer meeting he was due to attend later in the evening with rumoured girlfriend Hailey Baldwin, he looked the picture of bliss as he floated down one of the 50m lanes, all while showing off his symbolic crucifix tattoo on his chest.

Bieber, with estimated wealth of US$200million, started embracing the evangelical sect Hillsong, which has faced many criticisms throughout its 31 years, late last year, as he tried to put his rocky teenage years behind him.

The Hillsong Church told Daily Mail Australia on Monday that the global superstar wasn’t attending the conference to perform, but was present as a delegate.

‘Foundations’ is something that Bieber is likely looking for after his many run-ins with the law.

In 2013, at the age of 19, a video was leaked that appeared to show the Ontario-𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 pop star urinating into a mop bucket and launching into a bizarre verbal attack on Bill Clinton.

In January 2014, at the age of 20, he was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, on suspicion of driving under the influence and drag racing, reaching an eye-watering 136mph in his rented Lamborghini.

But he insisted he was ready for the challenge of lifting himself back up and ‘being somebody that you guys can all look at and be proud of’.
