Caitlin Clark, fresh off her transition from NCAA stardom to the WNBA, has never shied away from addressing tough topics. In a recent interview, Clark openly discussed the WNBA’s well-documented struggles with attendance, especially when compared to men’s sports or even her massive fan draw during her time at Iowa.

Clark mentioned that despite the WNBA having an incredibly talented pool of players, the league has struggled to consistently pack arenas. She pointed out that greater fan engagement is needed, but also suggested that more could be done by the league to market players and enhance the overall fan experience.

She stated, “We have some of the best athletes in the world playing in the WNBA, but for some reason, we’re not seeing the fan turnout we deserve. I think the league needs to think more creatively about how to reach new audiences and showcase the amazing talent we have.”
