Scottie Scheffler considers following Tiger Woods approach for Masters 2025 decision

Scottie Scheffler will host the 2025 Masters Champions Dinner in April, and the American has admitted he’s considering serving the exact same menu he did in 2023

Scottie Scheffler, the 2024 Masters champion, is already pondering over his menu choices for the prestigious Champions Dinner in 2025.

Despite the event being half a year away, Scheffler is considering keeping it simple and sticking to what he knows best as he faces a tricky decision.

The tradition at Augusta National sees the winner of the Green Jacket curate and cover the cost of the dinner menu for the annual Tuesday night feast before the tournament kicks off. Scheffler, who clinched his first Green Jacket in 2022, is contemplating whether to replicate Tiger Woods by repeating the same menu that he served this year.

During an appearance on the GOLF’s Subpar podcast, Scheffler shared his thoughts: “I have thought about [what I will serve] a little bit. I’m wondering if I should just have the exact same menu. I mean, it was pretty good, it was all my favourite foods.”

“I don’t really know what I could do differently. I think it would be really fun just to have the exact same food. But yeah, we’ll see.”

After his win, Scheffler delighted guests with a delectable selection including cheeseburger sliders, firecracker shrimp, Texas ribeye steak, blackened redfish, and chocolate chip s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁et cookies, showcasing his Texan roots.

Scheffler has opened up on his plans

If he chooses the same menu in 2025, he’ll be echoing golfing great Woods, who selected the exact same food for both the 2002 and 2003 Masters tournaments. Similarly, Sir Nick Faldo opted for fish and chips after two of his three Masters victories, although he varied the rest of the menu.

World No. 1 Scheffler has enjoyed an exceptional year. He secured his second major title at Augusta in April and followed this up by winning Olympic gold at the Paris Games in the summer.

He’s tipped as one of the favourites to win next year’s Masters, alongside Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy and Ludvig Aberg. If he secures a third Green Jacket, he’ll become only the ninth player in history to achieve this feat.
