After a fantastic season, he confirmed what many have been thinking: winning feels great, but he believes he could still compete with the younger players.
“When I’m out here on the Champions tour, and you play well, you think ‘this is brilliant,’” he said, as quoted by EXPRESS.
“But the better you play on the Champions tour, the more you think you can beat the young guys.”
An experienced golfer admitted that in the moments when you start winning, you start to ask yourself if you still have what it takes to compete on the Tour with younger golfers.
“So it’s kind of a Catch 22 in that sense that if you start winning regularly on the Champions tour you start to think, ‘Oh maybe I can still do it on the regular tour,”- Harrington continued.
It’s interesting to note that Tiger Woods will soon have the opportunity to compete on the senior tour, which will surely excite golf fans, even though many would love to see him continue playing on the regular tour for as long as possible. In recent years, Woods has struggled to compete regularly due to injuries that have marked the latter part of his career, but he aims to participate at least in the majors, where he hasn’t impressed as he once did. Despite knowing that it’s unrealistic to expect the same level of performance from Tiger as in his prime, fans still long to see one of the greatest golfers ever on the course.
Woods hasn’t said much about the senior tour or what the future holds, likely not wanting to focus too much on what’s ahead, even though that time is approaching. “I think Tiger will play the senior tour,” Nicklaus said.

“I think Tiger’s about capable of doing anything he ever wants to do, always has been,” Nicklaus said.
“I feel bad for him that he can’t walk like he wants to.”
