Dodgers sign left-handed pitcher Joe Jacqu to a minor league contract, enhancing roster depth for the upcoming season.
Jacqu, 29, previously played for the Boston Red Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks, making his MLB debut in 2023.
In 25 MLB appearances, Jacqu recorded a 5.46 ERA, 22 strikeouts, and one save over 29.2 innings pitched.
After starting the 2024 season with the Red Sox, Jacqu was placed on waivers and claimed by the Diamondbacks, where he spent time with Triple-A Reno.
During his time with the Reno Aces, Jacqu pitched 37.2 innings, achieving a 4.30 ERA.
The Dodgers aim to develop Jacqu’s potential, addressing bullpen issues from the previous season marked by injuries and inconsistencies.
The organization seeks to bolster its roster’s depth, with Jacqu expected to compete for a spot in the main team during spring training.
