Grace Gummer and husband Mark Ronson are expecting their second 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 together nearly two years after welcoming their first 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦, a girl named Ruthie.
The daughter of Meryl Streep, 38, revealed the big news as she debuted her growing 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 bump on Wednesday during Ronson and Justin Theroux’s holiday bash at Pebble Bar in NYC.
The actress and record producer, 49, tied the knot in 2021 and their first 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in early 2023.
While attending the star-studded event this week, Gummer donned a skintight reddish-orange dress that clung to her frame to show off her burgeoning stomach.
Her blonde locks were parted to the side, and effortlessly cascaded down past her shoulders in light waves.
In one image from the party, Mark could be seen standing by her side wearing a light blue button up while Theroux also joined in for the lighthearted snap.
Back in March of last year, Ronson’s sister Annabelle Dexter-Jones revealed to People that her brother and Grace had become parents.
At the time, she informed the outlet, ‘[Gummer] just had the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦. She’s two and a half months now. She’s stunning.’
In October 2023, it was announced that the couple were expecting 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 number one when Gummer unveiled her 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 bump at W Magazine’s 50th anniversary party in the Big Apple.
A source told Page Six they are ‘thrilled’ to be parents and added that the Uptown Funk hitmaker ‘has always wanted to be a dad.’
Earlier this year in January, Mark revealed the name of their 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 girl while accepting a Critics Choice Awards for the song, I’m Just Ken, which is included on the Barbie soundtrack.
While on stage, the star addressed the crowd and expressed, ‘To my wife and my daughter, Ruthie and Grace, you are my world and my everything, so thank you so much.’
‘And if I forgot anybody, I’ll make a post later on Instagram,’ Ronson added before concluding his speech at the ceremony.’
Since welcoming their first 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥, Grace and Mark have been seen on a few, rare outings with their little one.
Earlier this year in March, the two brought their daughter Ruthie along for a relaxing family vacation in Mexico.
The couple spent time on the beach and at one point, stepped into the shallow shore with their daughter.
During an interview with People in February, the record producer opened up about becoming a parent in a candid chat.
‘The most important thing is being around for her, so I’ve never had that – I mean, obviously with my wife too, I love her; I never want to be apart from her for more than a day if I don’t have to be.’
‘I have to be away sometimes to go write music and do whatever I have to do. But it’s like once you have the 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 too, it really truly does just become everything that is now the most important thing.’
He sweetly added, ‘My family is my anchor. For everything, they’re at the forethought of every single decision I make.’
Mark further recalled that Ruthie ‘was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in the middle of making’ the soundtrack for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.
‘Her first time in a recording studio was when we were doing the final mix on I’m Just Ken, and I was walking her back and forth, listening at a much more reasonable volume than I usually would be.’
Both Gummer and Ronson mainly stay private about their relationship and personal life.
However, the two have been seen at a number of events together, such as Milan Fashion Week in February and the 2024 Oscars in March.
The lovebirds became engaged in May 2021, and tied the knot a few months later in August during an intimate ceremony in New York City.
The British-𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 DJ also confirmed they said ‘I do’ in an Instagram post in September 2021 as he celebrated his 46th 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day.
At the time, he uploaded a photo from their wedding day and penned, ‘To my truest love…out of nowhere, you made 45 hands down the greatest year of my life. And I’m sure it took me 45 years to become the man worthy of your love.’
‘I hope I spend every one of these 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡days by your side til my last day. And beyond. Forever and ever yours ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ (and yes, we got married).’
After marrying Gummer, Mark has also developed a close bond with his mother-in-law and Hollywood actress, Meryl Streep.
In February, The Devil Wears Prada star and Ronson appeared on stage together during the 2024 Grammy Awards to present Album of the Year.
At one point, she stated, ‘I’m really, really honored to be here tonight with you, Mark, to present the most important award of the night, the best album of the year,’ with the star also adding that, ‘She can do everything.’
