Joe Joyce showed shades of his former self after a tough slide of losses in his career – displaying his endless stamina, relentless forward pressure and a juggernaut chin that would even intimidate the X-Men villain himself. But Hrgovic simply had more left to give as the much younger man and more s๐๐พ๐๐ed fighter – his straight shots and clean accurate output quite clearly won him the night despite him signing to fight on short notice (causing a decrease in output during the middle rounds).

Not only did he show elements of his old prime self but he also seemed as if he had been spending time in Cuba with some of his idiosyncrasies tonight – he was using a shoulder roll, he was pivoting off the centre line, he was catching and countering, he threw A PULL COUNTER (that took about three business days to reach the target and still missed ๐คฃ) and SWITCHED SOUTHPAW. Hello? Who is this and what did they do with Joe Joyce? Is this Sugar Joe Joyce now? Joycechenko? Joyceweather?! I could do this all day – just know this fight was extremely entertaining, kudos to both Hrgovic and Joyce ๐๐ฅ .
