The Creeper is back—and more terrifying than ever.
Horror fans were left speechless this morning as the official trailer for Jeepers Creepers 5 dropped unexpectedly online, sending shockwaves through the genre community. Starring Thomas Doherty, Kaitlyn Dever, and Giancarlo Esposito, with a shocking cameo from franchise original Jonathan Breck, the film picks up nearly 25 years after the events of Jeepers Creepers 2. A new group of college archaeologists stumble upon an ancient tomb buried deep beneath rural Louisiana—and unknowingly awaken the Creeper’s resting place during its feeding season.
“The Creeper is not just a monster anymore,” Esposito’s character warns in the trailer. “It’s a curse… a cycle of death that we were never meant to break.”
Directed by David F. Sandberg (Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation), Jeepers Creepers 5: Curse of the Hollow reimagines the iconic villain’s origins with a terrifying backstory rooted in Native American folklore and blood rituals. The trailer teases disturbing flashbacks, spine-chilling sound design, and a revamped look for the Creeper—more skeletal, more agile, and far more ruthless.
Fans were quick to notice the trailer’s shift in tone: grittier visuals, psychological horror elements, and echoes of Hereditary and The Witch. One haunting scene shows a possessed scarecrow whispering, “He watches when you forget… and feeds when you remember.”
With a tagline that reads “Every 23rd Spring… begins again”, Jeepers Creepers 5 is set to be the most ambitious and blood-soaked chapter in the franchise.
The film hits theaters October 10, 2025, just in time for Halloween—and if the trailer is any indication, no one will sleep peacefully that weekend.
