Christopher Nkunku is reportedly ready to end his disappointing spell at Chelsea, with Liverpool emerging as a leading contender for his signature ahead of the summer 2025 transfer window.

According to Foot Mercato, the French forward has initiated steps to leave Stamford Bridge after two injury-plagued seasons, and Liverpool have already started negotiations for a potential deal to bring Nkunku to Anfield.

Nkunku joined Chelsea in 2023 for a fee of £52 million from RB Leipzig, amid high expectations that he would become a focal point in the Blues’ attack. However, recurring injuries have prevented the 26-year-old from finding form or consistency in the Premier League, and he has struggled to make the impact many had hoped for.
