Directed by rising horror auteur David Bruckner (The Ritual, The Night House), Howl 2 takes the original’s claustrophobic train setting and explodes it into an all-out, forested nightmare.
The story follows Ethan Granger (Chris Pratt), a former soldier turned wildlife ranger, who is called to investigate a brutal train massacre in the Blackmoor region — eerily similar to the events from ten years prior. He teams up with Lena Wren (Millie Bobby Brown), a young cryptozoologist who has her own family ties to the creatures.
The trailer features quick flashes of bodies dragged into the mist, wolf-like silhouettes leaping from trees, and chilling voiceovers.
“They never left… They just waited,” Lena whispers over a rising score of drums and howls.
With practical effects blended with state-of-the-art CGI, Howl 2 is shaping up to be one of 2025’s scariest cinematic events. Fans of creature horror, folklore, and fast-paced survival thrillers will find themselves howling for more.
Also starring: Richard Armitage, Dafne Keen, and Jason Isaacs as the mysterious “Silver Monk.” Produced by: Lionsgate, Hammer Studios, and Ghosthouse Pictures. Release date: October 31, 2025 — just in time for Halloween.
