The clown is back — but not in the way you’d expect.
Warner Bros. and Marvel Studios have teamed up in the most unexpected crossover of the decade with Joker’s Wild Life, a genre-bending, chaotic comedy-thriller that sees the Joker sharing scenes with both Batman and Deadpool. The official teaser trailer, released today, has already set the internet on fire.
Set in a bizarre alternate reality where universes collide and logic takes a back seat, Joker’s Wild Life follows the Clown Prince of Crime (played by a stunningly unhinged lead whose identity remains under wraps) as he embarks on a surreal journey of self-discovery — encountering unlikely allies and foes, including a bewildered Batman and an apron-wearing Deadpool running a fast food joint.
The teaser opens with Joker and Batman sitting side by side on a park bench under golden autumn leaves, casually discussing crime, chaos, and… veganism? The next scene cuts to Joker berating Deadpool in a dingy diner over a “cold chimichanga,” with Deadpool unbothered and flipping burgers behind the counter.
Visually, the film blends hyper-stylized realism with surrealistic satire. The cinematography is warm and whimsical by day, but eerie and stylized by night, reminiscent of Joker (2019) with a splash of Deadpool’s fourth-wall-breaking madness.
According to the teaser’s tagline, “The punchline… is reality.”
Rumors suggest the film is co-directed by Todd Phillips (Joker) and Shawn Levy (Deadpool 3), with a multiversal script penned by a mystery writer under the pseudonym “M.” Whether this film is canon to any franchise remains hilariously unclear.
Joker’s Wild Life is set to release on November 7, 2025, and fans are already calling it “the most gloriously insane crossover in comic book movie history.”
