Silence may no longer be enough.
Paramount Pictures has just released the official teaser trailer for A Quiet Place: Last Breath (2025)—a chilling new chapter in the acclaimed horror franchise, with Emily Blunt reprising her role as Evelyn Abbott in what is rumored to be the final installment.
Directed by Michael Sarnoski, the film picks up years after the events of Part II, as Evelyn and her remaining 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren navigate a decaying world where the creatures that hunt by sound are no longer the only threat. With whispers of evolving mutations and growing human desperation, survival has never felt more fragile.
The teaser begins in eerie silence, broken only by distant breathing and a soft lullaby. It then flashes to haunting scenes: Evelyn clutching a gas mask over her daughter’s face, a submerged train tunnel filled with echoing footsteps, and a grotesque new form of the deathly sound-hunting creatures.
Emily Blunt delivers a powerful voiceover: “We thought we understood the silence… but silence has changed.”
Last Breath promises to explore the origin of the creatures more deeply, while also introducing new survivors, including characters played by Barry Keoghan and Anya Taylor-Joy, whose roles are being kept under wraps.
With a return to the franchise’s signature tension and minimalist sound design, the film blends psychological horror with emotional grit in what’s being called the most terrifying entry yet.
A Quiet Place: Last Breath will be released in theaters and IMAX worldwide on September 5, 2025.
