In a bold move that will redefine naval warfare, the U.S. Navy is set to commission a formidable fleet of ten advanced vessels in 2025, enhancing its global presence and combat readiness. This unprecedented lineup includes state-of-the-art submarines, destroyers, and amphibious assault ships, each armed with cutting-edge technology designed for modern warfare.

Leading the charge is the USS Iowa (SSN 797), a Virginia-class submarine, expected to be commissioned in Spring 2025. With a displacement of 7,800 tons and a top speed of 25 knots, this powerhouse can remain submerged for up to three months, equipped with Tomahawk missiles and advanced sonar systems. Following closely is the USS Massachusetts (SSN 798), also a Virginia-class submarine, which shares similar specifications and is set to be commissioned in Boston.

The USS Harvey C. Barnum Jr. (DDG 124) and USS Lou H. Wilson Jr. (DDG 126) are two guided missile destroyers that highlight the Navy’s commitment to advanced surface combat capabilities. Each boasts a full load displacement of 9,217 tons and can reach speeds of 31 knots, armed with a variety of missiles and torpedoes to dominate the seas.

On the horizon is the USS John F. Kennedy (CVN 79), a Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carrier, which will bolster the Navy’s airpower with a capacity for over 80 aircraft and advanced radar systems. Additionally, the USS Cleveland (LCS 31) and USS Pierre (LCS 38) will enhance littoral combat operations, showcasing speed and adaptability with cutting-edge armaments.

Rounding out this impressive fleet is the USS Bougainville (LHA 8), an amphibious assault ship designed to support Marine Corps operations, and the USCGC Argus (WMSM 915), a state-of-the-art Coast Guard cutter. With these vessels entering service, the U.S. Navy is poised to maintain its dominance on the world’s oceans. The commissioning of these deadly naval assets marks a critical moment in military history, reinforcing America’s commitment to global security and readiness. Stay tuned for further updates as these vessels prepare to take to the seas.
