General Hospital star Cameron Mathison shared an update about a new family member.
Cameron Mathison shared a heartwarming update recently. The General Hospital star revealed he would have a new roommate, and it seems things will go well between them. Nearly two years after losing his beloved Doberman, Red, Mathison has a new guy in his life.
Mathison Introduces Hunter
While on Instagram, Cameron Mathison shared a Reel introducing a new Doberman named Hunter. Losing Red was hard on the GH star, and he’s been open about the grief since.
In a case of what may be fate, the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter had a Doberman that resembled Red and needed a home. Mathison revealed he had long considered adopting or fostering another dog. Hunter seemingly fell into his lap, and the two began their new adventure.
He captioned the Reel in part: “Hunter is from West Los Angeles Animal Shelter and is the sweetest guy you’ll ever meet. He’s a 100-pound Doberman and so far has completely wooed me with his gentle nature and beauty.”
Hunter is a foster, for now. However, it wouldn’t be surprising if he ended up a foster fail given how Mathison talked about him and his resemblance to Red in the Reel.
Drew May Not Have a Soft Heart, But Mathison Does
There has been much chatter about Drew on GH, but Cameron Mathison is quite the opposite of the character he plays in Port Charles.
He has been upfront about the major criticism he’s received for the role he plays, including some fan interactions that were less than desirable. However, he continues to show up and portray the vile Drew, providing a convincing performance each time he is on-screen.
Life has thrown plenty of curveballs at Mathison over the last few years, including the loss of Red, his house burning down because of the California wildfires, and more, but he keeps on keeping on.
