The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that five September surprises are on the way, so these romantic shockers will bring major drama. Some new pairings will rise while other couples are at risk of crumbling, so here’s what Y&R viewers can expect.

1) Michael hides something risky from Lauren

For starters, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will make a risky move when he hides something from Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman).

It sounds like Michael will neglect to mention that he’s tangled up in Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) web again.

All signs point to Michael accepting Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) job offer while secretly working for Victor, so this could blow up in his face if he’s not careful.

It could at least put a strain on Michael and Lauren’s marriage when she inevitably finds out despite his deception.

2) Holden’s tempting invite for Claire

As Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) spend more time together, they’ll strengthen their bond.

Holden will eventually deliver a tempting invite and perhaps surprise Claire with a fun activity that pulls her even closer.

Will Claire cross the line with Holden or stay loyal to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor)?

Time will tell, but there’s no denying that Claire finds Holden charming and interesting!

3) Christine and Danny’s wedding plans get derailed

Next, Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) and Danny Romalotti’s (Michael Damian) wedding plans will get derailed.

The happy couple may end up panicking a bit if some of their arrangements start falling through.

Of course, the most important thing for Danny and Christine to remember is how much they love each other.

Some challenges are on the way – perhaps even some that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) causes – but Christine and Danny will keep the focus on getting their happily ever after.

4) Billy sabotages Adam and Chelsea’s romance

As for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), he’ll cause some problems for Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Billy will somehow manage to sabotage Adam and Chelsea’s romance, so that could put a target on his back.

Adam isn’t a big fan of Billy anyway, but Billy could rile him up even more and intensify their feud.

Even if Chelsea and Adam work through the conflict that Billy stirs up, you can bet Adam will want Billy to pay.

5) Kyle’s Audra plot goes wrong

Across town, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will move forward with his attempt to get Audra out of town.

We’ll see Kyle carry out his daring plot to win Claire over and prove he’ll do whatever it takes to save their relationship.

Unfortunately, Kyle could be setting himself up to fail by antagonizing Audra even further.

It’d be better to avoid Audra altogether, but Kyle will play with fire and just might get burned!

Regardless, Kyle’s Audra scheme is sure to come with some unpleasant curveballs and leave Kyle scrambling all over again.
