Britt and Obrecht
Look out for a couple of marquee matchups on GH this Monday. They pit mother versus daughter and father versus son.
The title fight features a couple of heavyweight powerhouses who know how to play dirty. When Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) have it out, it’s because Britt admitted to her mother that she was partly responsible for faking her own death. Obrecht already slapped her daughter for the pain that she caused.
But the thing is, Britt is back. She’s sorry she forced Obrecht to grieve for two years, but she also knows her mother will eventually forgive her for her trespasses. The question here is whether Britt tells Obrecht exactly what kept her away for so long. Will she fess up to the specifics?
Marco and Sidwell
The other matchup on Monday’s fight card is Marco (Adrian Anchondo) versus Sidwell (Carlo Rota). When the son confronts the father, the topic is probably their different perspectives on how to handle the Judge Heran (Tessa Auberejonois) situation and the million-dollar bribery. Marco might even guess that Sidwell was allegedly behind the judge’s body washing up on the docks.
Marco didn’t mean for this to happen. He tipped off Drew (Cameron Mathison), which ruined Sidwell’s supposed plans. The crime lord was timing it all out. Now, Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) coming up with his own plans that implicate the newly shot Congressman Cutthroat. Everything is a mess. Sidwell already went off on his son. How heated will this conversation get?
The Who Shot Drew Update
Meanwhile, Drew manipulates Martin (Michael E. Knight). Even though Martin no longer works for Drew, the congressman still needs the attorney. He knows where some of the bodies are buried, so to speak. In the video sneak peek at the end of Friday’s episode, Drew tells his former lawyer, “Make sure the police never see that evidence.”
Is this the leverage he has (or had) on Portia (Brook Kerr)? Or some other key piece of evidence that could ruin all of Drew’s plans? We’re asking because suddenly, Anna (Finola Hughes) receives new evidence. There has to be a connection, right?
Expressing Hurt
Finally, on Friday, Jason (Steve Burton) pretty much threw Carly (Laura Wright) out of the commissioner’s office when he needed to talk to Anna desperately. He has his reasons, but Carly doesn’t know them. To do that, Jason would have to tell her that Joss (Eden McCoy) is in the WSB and also that Jack (Chris McKenna) recruited her. Is this why Carly suddenly expresses her hurt? Or is this about something else?
