Vin Diesel wished his Fate of the Furious co-star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson a happy 45th 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day on Tuesday following their so-called feud last year.
The 49-year-old SAG Award nominee – who boasts 233.2M followers – wrote: ‘To look back at what we have accomplished. Shoulder to shoulder, against impossible odds. Proud… Happy Birthday Hobbs.’
The truce came a month after the 5ft11in action star said his beef with the Moana star was ‘blown out of proportion.’

‘I don’t think the world really realizes how close we are, in a weird way,’ Vin (𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 Mark Sinclair) said on the April 10 episode of Today.
‘I don’t think that was his intention. I know he appreciates how much I work on this franchise. In my house, he’s Uncle Dwayne. I protect the franchise. I protect everybody including Dwayne. I protected Dwayne more than he’ll ever know. And it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t have to know. But he appreciates it. He knows it.’
It all began when Johnson wrote a thinly-veiled August 8 Instagram post referring to an ‘unprofessional candy a**’ on the set.
Shortly after, Life & Style reported that the feud was just ‘a huge prank’ that was ‘all for publicity.’

Fans of the street-racing heist franchise speculated that the third-generation wrestler was simply talking smack in the tradition of scripted and choreographed antics at the WWE.
And it certainly worked – the flick amassed an eye-popping $1.068 billion at the global box office since its April 14 release despite mixed reviews.
The bald California-𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 beefcakes’ characters Dominic Toretto and Luke Hobbs also memorably battled (then joined forces) in the 2011 installment, Fast Five.
This Sunday night, Diesel will accept the Generation trophy for his franchise at the MTV Movie & TV Awards alongside castmates Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Jordana Brewster.

But first, the xXx: Return of Xander Cage actor will return as Baby Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which hits US/UK theaters this Friday.
‘Very little’ audio processing was done to transform Vin’s signature gruff voice into a higher-pitched register for the younger bipedal plant warrior.
‘He has always had an innocence,’ the married father-of-three explained to EW last month.
‘But this time he has a fun a certain naive aspect because he really is just a 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦. That was so fun to play. Groot is such a fascinating character on so many levels. For this installment I needed to not only pitch up the performance, I needed to embed even more wonder than he usually possesses, and he always has a wonder about him already. So proud of the character and what [filmmaker] James Gunn has done with him.’
