YouTube creator Adam the Woo, known to his millions of subscribers for adventurous vlogs exploring abandoned sites, theme parks, and movie locations, was found dead at his home in Celebration, Florida, on December 22nd, 2025. He was 51 years old. The cause of death has not been determined, with an autopsy pending and the investigation ongoing. Born David Adam Williams on August 10th, 1974, in Tupelo, Mississippi, the same town as Elvis Presley, he grew up ina deeply religious household.
His father, Jim, worked as a minister, and the family moved 13 times, leaving young Adam to find comfort in his imagination, often watching movies like Back to the Future on his VCR. As a teenager, he played bass guitar for the punk rock band Guttermouth, and he later described himself as an 80s pop culture nerd with a passion for travel and video recording. Adam launched his YouTube channel in 2006, quitting his job, moving out of his apartment, and living out of his van. By 2009, he was fully dedicated to vlogging, traveling across all 50 states, capturing abandoned haunts, quirky roadside attractions, and iconic movie filming locationsthat most people overlook.
In 2012, he expanded with a second channel, The Daily Woo. He became synonymous with Disney parks, where his enthusiastic commentary drew in fans, and he was considered one of the first to vlog at theme parks, setting the stage for countless creators who followed. Over his career, Adam produced more than 4,000 videos, earning over 1 million subscribers and 414 million views across his channels. He regularly featured his parents and sister Faith Murray, turning personal moments into relatable content, and he collaborated with a host of different YouTube creators throughout the years.
His success came with hurdles. For a time, he was banned from Walt Disney World. And in 2017, he was banned from Universal Orlando Resort for trespassing in a restricted area during a vlog, a controversy that highlighted the risk of his exploratory style. He bounced back, continuing to create with passion.
After years living in Orange County, California, Adam relocated to Celebration, Florida, in 2021and bought a home therein 2023. His vlogs often showed a man who cherished simple joys, family time, holiday decorations, and sharing stories with his audience. After returning from a European trip that included Disneyland Paris, he uploaded a festive video on December 21st, 2025, showcasing holiday decorations and wishing viewers well. It would be his last.
The next day, Mike, also known as YouTuber German Adventist, and a concerned friend, unable to reach him, climbed a ladder to his thirdstory bedroom window and discovered Adam unresponsivein his bed. He was pronounced dead at his home. Adam apparently had died in his sleep, and in his final words to viewers, he signed off with warmth, unaware it was goodbye: “Thanks for watching. I’ll see you in the next video.
