Cassius Makes Plans to Flee Port Charles With [Spoiler] — and Is This the End For Jack?

In Sonny’s office, Tracy comes to see him about Sidwell and the threat he poses. She tells him Gio needs to live with her for his own safety, so Sonny needs to kick him out. Sonny texts Gio to meet with them and tells Tracy that she needs to be saying this to Gio.

Gio shows up and wonders what is going on. They explain the danger Sidwell poses and that he may go after Gio to get to Sonny. Tracy asks him to come home to the Quartermaine mansion

Naturally, Gio doesn’t want to leave his grandpa and feels he should decide where he lives. Sonny says he does get to decide, and he should use the information they’ve provided to help him make that choice. Gio loves Tracy and the crazy Quartermaine bunch, but says he’s not leaving Sonny.

Ava’s Annoying Bodyguard

At the pool, Sonny meets with Ava, who is being watched by Ethan. Nina thinks Ava is taking her warning about Sidwell seriously, but Ava says this is on Sonny’s orders. Ava is annoyed at Ethan having to watch her, and that he doesn’t seem to understand that a bodyguard is supposed to remain out of sight. The women then catch up.

Later, Ava and Ethean return to her galley, and she remains annoyed by his presence. She knows Sonny doesn’t care about her safety, and this is about Sonny’s belief that she and Sidwell are partners in crime.

That’s when Turner shows up, saying she’s been wondering that herself. Ethan introduces himself to Turner, and Ava basically has to shoo him away to give her and Turner a moment. Turner has questions about Jenz, and Ava says she’s already given what she knows to the WSB. Turner says she’s going to tell her now.

Waiting on “Dad”

Cody takes James to the batting cage for practice, and Cody’s phone is still on the fritz thanks to James and his Super Soaker. They stay hydrated and chat while waiting on “Nathan” to meet them, and discuss Maxie and his family’s big adventure out in the Grand Canyon.

Carly Has a Plan

At the Qs’boat house, Carly meets with Danny and Charlotte, and learns Cullum sent someone to try to kidnap the young girl. Carly says this means Cullum doesn’t know Valentin is on his way to the WSB to turn him in, and trying to take the mayor’s daughter means he’s very confident, or very desperate.

Carly says she can’t wait for Valentin any longer and has to get to Wyndemere. They want to go with her, but she refuses, as both their father’s would want them to be safe and not involved.

The Project Is Complete

In their cell at Wyndemere, Obrecht is brought back and announces she has completed the prototype. Faison’s final project is now operative. Joss and Obrecht argue about what she’s done. Obrecht believes in Cassius, but Joss tells her that  Cassius is not Nathan… Nathan would have rescued them, and Cassius would not.

Obrecht knows Cassius isn’t her Nathan, but she thinks he’s still a good man. She sees how he loves James; that is not fake. Joss states that love is the easiest thing to fake, and he’s Faison’s son. Obrecht says she broke free of Faison’s control, so she knows Cassius will too. Joss warns Obrecht she won’t like what she sees when Cassius shows his real self.

Cassius Makes His Choice

At the house, Sidwell exposes Cassius Faison, his partner, to Joe and Ezra. Cassius turns his gun on Joe, so Joe tells him to go ahead and shoot him, as Turner knows they are here and SWAT is on the way. They’ll figure out who shot him. Cassius realizes he’s right and turns his gun on Sidwell… and then Ezra!

Cassius then tells Joe to drop his gun, or he’ll shoot Ezra, so Joe cooperates. Sidwell is pleased, and Nathan orders Joe to drop to his knees and put his hands behind his head. Cassius says he’s sorry and knocks Joe over the head with his gun, and he goes down.

Sidwell says he never doubted Cassius, but then Cassius turns his gun on his former partner and says, “Did you think I would let you blow my cover and get out of here clean?” Sidwell says if Cassius gets him out of Port Charles, he’ll make it worth his while. Cassius says he should shoot him, but he’s going to let him leave, so run now! Sidwell leaves, and Cassius doesn’t let him take Joe’s gun with him.

Then, Cassius refuses to let Ezra go. Cassius says that when Joe comes too, he wants Ezra to help him. As for him, he’s walking out, and nobody in this town will see him again.

Cassius walks out, checks his phone, and looks at a photo of James in his baseball uniform on it. He takes the SIM card out of his phone and snaps it.

Meanwhile, Ezra tells the unconscious detective he will go and call him an ambulance, but Joe stirs awake and tells him, “Wait!” before Ezra can make it out the door.

Sweet Dreams Jack

Cullum visits Jack at Turning Woods to taunt him as usual. Jack wakes up finding himself restrained to the bed. Cullum informs him that he has provided a DNR to Turning Woods in case he takes a turn for the worse. He tells Jack that his end will be quick and sooner than he thinks.

Cullum opens a box and pulls out a gas mask and shoves it onto Jack’s face. Jack starts screaming, or trying to, and Ross says he had a feeling he was faking his condition. Ross says it’s time to be rid of him and pulls out a canister. He turns on the gas and walks out, leaving Jack to die.

Back at the batting cage, James wonders why his dad isn’t here yet. That’s when he shows up, and James asks if he was capturing the bad guys. “Nathan” says, “Something like that, but I’m done with them, and I’ve got big plans for us.”

In The Show’s Final Moments

Tracy tells Gio that Sonny can take all the precautions he wants, but reminds him that Michael almost died in an attack meant for Sonny, so how will Sonny feel if history repeats itself? She storms out, and Gio says that wasn’t fair of Tracy. Sonny says, “But it’s true.”

At the house, Ezra is on the phone with the paramedics and gets ice for Joe. Joe gets up and wonders what the hell happened. Ezra says, “I just saved your life!”

Charlotte gives Carly instructions on how to sneak into Wyndemere. Carly tells Danny that if he doesn’t hear from her by 8, call Sonny. She then takes off.

Charlotte tells Danny they can’t let her go alone; their dads wouldn’t let her do this without backup. Danny says they’ll be her backup.

Joss tells Obrecht she’s done waiting for Cassius, so she’s going to get out of here. Obrecht asks how they do that? Joss says if Obrecht can figure out nuclear fission, she can figure out how to break the electronic lock.

Nina shows up at Jack’s room with food, only to find him unconscious, and she yells at him to wake up.

At the gallery, Ava shows Turner all her receipts from Sidwell and every bank account used; it’s all legit. She insists to Turner that, after what he did to Lucas, she wouldn’t spit on Jenz if he were on fire. Sidwell walks in with a gun and says, “That breaks my heart. Given the chance, I’d happily spit on you!” Sidwell points a gun at all three, telling Ethan not to think about playing hero.

Finally, at the batting cage, Cody’s phone comes back to life, and he leaves to check his messages. “Nathan” tells James they should get out of there, just as Cody gets Felicia’s message warning him about “Nathan.” Cody looks over and sees “Nathan” leaving with James.

On the next episode of General Hospital, Cody stops “Nathan” from leaving with James, Nina finds Jack isn’t breathing, Ross catches Carly at Wyndemere, and Sidwell tells Justine, “Let’s find out how valuable you really are!”  Check out more soap spoilers for Wednesday, June 30!
