But alongside his incredible aerial prowess, Ronaldo’s free kick abilities stand out as one of the defining features of his all-round performance.
So, exactly how many free kicks has Ronaldo scored in total across his glittering career?
Let’s take a look at the numbers for the former Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Sporting star.
How many free kicks has Cristiano Ronaldo scored?
Ronaldo has scored 59 free kicks in his career since making his professional debut in 2002, with a conversion rate of just over six per cent.

His very first goal for Manchester United came from a free-kick, making use of his iconic ‘knuckleball’ technique to score against Portsmouth in the Premier League in November 2003.
Over the next few years, Ronaldo established himself as one of the finest dead-ball specialists with an array of iconic free-kicks.
Amongst them is his 40 yard strike against Arsenal in the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2009, with his goal helping to see United into the final at the expense of The Gunners.
And more recently, who could forget his strike against Spain in the group stages of the 2018 World Cup – that free kick was one of three goals the Portuguese sensation scored in Sochi that day.
Whilst the sight of Ronaldo standing over a free kick still sends a shiver down the spine of goalkeepers, his free kick prowess has waned somewhat in the last decade or so of his career.
