Kobbie Mainoo has got Man Utd fans excited for his return after pulling off a deft s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 move in training on Thursday.
The 18-year-old has not featured at all so far this term due to a knee injury picked up in pre-season. The midfielder is now back in training and could make the squad for Saturday’s trip to Sheffield United, if deemed fit enough.

The teenager impressed over the summer, with Erik ten Hag deciding to start him against Real Madrid during the tour of the US. His night lasted just two minutes after sustaining an unfortunate knock to the leg.
Mainoo made his senior debut in January when he was named in the starting XI against Charlton. Subsequent appearances against Reading in the FA Cup and Leicester in the Premier League followed before an injury picked up towards the end of last season restricted his chances of further game time.

It looks like Mainoo is on the brink of a return as he regains his speed in training. The academy graduate has rejoined group sessions and this week wowed supporters with a piece of s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 that raised eyebrows.
The youngster was seen to fake a pass before chopping the ball in the opposite direction with the same right foot while looking away to catch his teammates off guard. The moment of improvisation got United fans on social media waxing lyrical about his qualities and had them dreaming about his in-game return.
