She wowed the crowd with her emotional,  high energy performance of Wolves at the 2017 American Music Awards at LA’s Microsoft Theater on Sunday night.

But some viewers at home weren’t quite so impressed by Selena Gomez.

She is now being called out on Twitter for allegedly lip syncing at the show.

One user even described the 25-year-old star as ‘the biggest fraud in the music industry. She can’t even make her lip syncing believable.’

While many made allowance for the fact that Selena had a kidney transplant just a few months ago, others weren’t so kind.

‘I love Selena Gomez but she made it obvious that she lip sync through the whole performance hence why she had her head down & covering her face for 99% of the performance,’ Aine tweeted.

‘The girl can’t sing live so I don’t know why she just can’t admit it instead of lip syncing.’

And one user compared her performance to Pink’s high wire act, tweeting: ‘Pink sang live hanging off the side of a building while Selena put on a performance by lip syncing. Why are these two even in the same REALM???’

Selena has yet to reply to the allegations.

The staging for Wolves, her collaboration with Marshmello, was  set after a car crash with a red Ford Mustang as the center piece. 

Selena emerged with ‘cuts’ on her knees and forehead as she rocked a 𝓈ℯ𝓍y white mini nightgown that was so short her panties could be seen when she rolled around on the stage and the car’s hood.

She also debuted a new blonde hair do for the performance.

She completed the look with matching white Puma shoes and socks which ended at just above the ankle as she was surrounded by dancers who mimicked wolves.

Back on September 14, Selena revealed the kidney transplant as she shared a photo of herself and BFF Francia Raisa in hospital gowns holding hands.

The stunner has also since rekindled her relationship with on/off boyfriend Justin Bieber who she has been seen together in recent weeks. He did not appear at the gala.

The star-studded event featuring some of the most famous musicians in the world took place at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles and was also aired live on ABC.

Winners at the AMAs are determined by a poll of the public with the option of voting through the award show’s website.
