Phil Mickelson took to X to appreciate his HyFlyers GC teammate Cameron Tringale’s rifle-firing s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s. He also compared Tringale to the Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec.

Yusuf Dikec has become a pop culture icon after winning a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the 10-metre air pistol mixed team. Dikec, a retired Turkish gendarmerie officer, became a viral sensation for his calm demeanor and minimalist gear, regular prescription glasses, which gave a laid-back vibe.

In the video shared by Phil Mickelson, LIV Golfer Tringale can be seen shooting a target, 1000 yards away, to complete perfection. He is later seen celebrating his shot in the video. Mickelson captioned the same and wrote:

Cameron Tringale is one of the four members of the HyFlyers GC. The other two members are Brendan Steele and Andy Ogletree. The team’s performance in LIV Golf has been dismal this year. They are currently 12th among 13 teams.

Tringale, however, has had a mixed 2024 season. He has two top-10 finishes and seven top-25 finishes in 11 starts. He is 30th in the individual standings. He finished 16th last year with five top-10 finishes. His best performances in 2024 include a T6 in the LIV Golf United Kingdom and a T9 at LIV Golf Houston.

Tringale only has one win in his career. He won the Franklin Templeton Shootout by one stroke over Harris English and Matt Kuchar.

Where will Phil Mickelson play next?

Phil Mickelson will next tee off at LIV Golf Greenbrier. The tournament is scheduled from August 16 to 18 at The Old White at The Greenbrier. With three events left for LIV Golf’s season, the 54-year-old will look for a turnaround to a disappointing 2024 season. He is currently 44th in LIV Golf’s individual standings of the season.

Mickelson has had only one top-10 finish in the season which came at LIV Golf Jeddah where he finished 6th. His other notable finishes include T27 at LIV Golf Andalucia and T30 at LIV Golf Las Vegas.

Further, Phil Mickelson’s performance in Majors has not been what he’d have liked. He missed two cuts at the PGA Championship and the US Open. He finished T43 at the Masters tournament and T60 at the Open Championship at Royal Troon.
