Joshua vowed to “look at the positives” after the bruising encounter at Wembley Stadium.

The 34-year-old hit the canvas FOUR times as Dubois held on to his IBF heavyweight strap in brutal fashion.

Joshua struck a defiant tone in the ring following the shock defeat, insisting he was a “fighter for life.”

AJ doubled down on Monday as he took to Instagram to deliver a message to his 16.9 million followers.

Joshua said: “We came up short. But we have to look at all the positives.

“That’s the mindset and the perspective we have to have. Look what we have achieved in 11 years, it’s phenomenal.

“I want to thank every single one of you who has been riding with me.”What a rollercoaster journey – and you know what the problem is? It’s far from over yet.”

AJ admitted going for a third world title “hasn’t been easy.”

He continued: “We’ve done it once, we’ve done it twice, doing it a third time hasn’t been easy but I believe it is something I can achieve.

“It’s about making the right steps forward and working hard.

“Keep your seatbelts on because deep, deep, down in [my heart], I know we’ve got a lot more to bring.

“British Boxing I appreciate you and let’s rise up together.”

One fan responded: “Say what you want this man changed the game and paved the way for big money fights for all other boxers.”

Another said: “Nothing but respect for anyone who steps into the ring and gives it their all.”

Tyson Fury was watching Dubois’s demolition job from ringside alongside 96,000 fight fans.

And the Gypsy King’s promoter Frank Warren hasn’t ruled out the possibility of the two finally meeting in the ring.

Asked about AJ vs Fury on talkSPORT, Warren admitted: “I don’t know.

“If he comes back and has a win. Who knows?”

But SunSport’s Colin Hart had a warning for Joshua after he was “completely overwhelmed” in the Wembley defeat.

Hart said: “Any sane person knows with his wealth and standing in the country, he should retire now and enjoy the rest of his days in luxury.”

Joshua turned pro in 2013 after becoming a Team GB hero at London 2012.

He twice unified the WBO, IBF, and WBA heavyweight belts and is worth an estimated £175million.

Following Saturday’s loss, AJ has a pro record of 28-4.

He has expressed a desire for a rematch with Dubois, with Warren saying his team were “open” to discussing terms.
