Especially thanks to Cruise’s run in the Mission: Impossible franchise, fans know Cruise has a penchant for doing jaw-dropping stunts. The most recent installment of the spy thriller film series, Dead Reckoning, saw Cruise go through the wringer, including a big fight sequence on top of a moving train and an intense speed-flying stunt. He also rode his motorcycle off a cliff during Dead Reckoning, one of the most critically acclaimed Mission: Impossible films, despite being underwhelming at the box office amid heavy competition from Barbie and Oppenheimer.
The 62-year-old Cruise has been in the U.K. filming Mission: Impossible 8, which restarted shooting earlier this year after delays caused by last year’s WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Set images from the upcoming Paramount sequel see Cruise risking it all again, including a driving sequence in a beaten-up vehicle. Cruise stars in Mission: Impossible 8 alongside Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Hannah Waddingham, Shea Whigham, Pom Klementieff and Esai Morales.
