Marko Issues Stern Warning to Red Bull’s Rising Star Liam Lawson
Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has delivered a strong message to Liam Lawson, making it clear that simply doing his best will not be enough to secure his place in the team.
Lawson, who has stepped in to replace Sergio Perez, is under immense pressure to perform at the highest level and support four-time world champion Max Verstappen in the upcoming season.
“He must continuously collect points and help Max when necessary,” Marko stated. “Just doing his best is not enough.”

With Red Bull’s expectations sky-high, Lawson faces the challenge of proving himself in one of the most competitive environments in Formula 1.
Christian Horner Reacts to Billion-Dollar Verstappen Offer
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has addressed reports that an unnamed Formula 1 team made a staggering billion-dollar bid for Max Verstappen during the off-season.
While rumors of Verstappen’s potential exit from Red Bull have circulated, the Dutch driver remains committed to the team for at least the upcoming campaign.
Reports suggested that a £974 million ($1 billion) offer was placed to lure Verstappen away from Red Bull, a figure that Horner found extraordinary.
“Look, I know you guys have all got columns to fill over a winter period,” Horner told RacingNews365.
“But a billion dollars – it would be an eye-wateringly large amount of money.
“But I think Max is very happy in the environment that he’s in. He’s grown up in the team.
“He has a great relationship with the team and the engineers and the technicians and everybody that he works with.
“It’s down to us to provide a competitive car and continue to give him the platform to be able to achieve the results that he has over the last almost 10 years.”
Despite the eye-catching bid, Verstappen’s future remains firmly tied to Red Bull, as the team focuses on delivering another dominant season.
