Angelina Jolie’s old New York City apartment has a new tenant.
The “Maleficent” star revealed in an interview with the New York Times published Monday that one of her sons moved into the home she bought in her 20s.
The article noted that the unit has become a “crash pad” for Jolie’s five other 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren when they are in town — but she doesn’t always get the same welcome.
“The other day I said I was going to pop by, and he was like, can you just give me a day to clean?” she said.

“I thought, I appreciate that, you should clean up for your mother. But also, how bad is it?” she added with a laugh.
Jolie, 49, did not reveal which of her two adult sons, Maddox, 23, or Pax, 21, took over the space.
Maddox pursued a career as a pilot and has remained out of the public eye despite working on a few films alongside Jolie. Meanwhile, Pax also got his parents’ creative gene and is often spotted in Los Angeles, where he has been involved in several e-bike crashes.
Jolie also shares daughters Zahara, 20, and Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16, with her ex-husband Brad Pitt, who is estranged from his kids.

It is unclear whether the “Tomb Raider” star is planning to purchase another property in NYC now that her kids have taken over her old address.
Jolie has been spending more time in the city following her involvement on Broadway and the opening of her fashion and art venture, Atelier Jolie, located in a building once inhabited by the likes of Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Although the Oscar winner is often on the East Coast, she will not be leaving LA for good for at least the next two years.
Jolie told the Hollywood Reporter last summer that she is excited for a change of scenery once her twins are done with school in California, which she has called home for nearly 40 years.

“I grew up in this town. I am here because I have to be here from a divorce, but as soon as they’re 18, I’ll be able to leave,” she told the outlet, referencing her settlement and custody agreement with Pitt.
“When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety. I have a house now to raise my 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren, but sometimes this place can be … that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here.”
Jolie teased her plans to live a more nomadic lifestyle once she leaves the Golden State.
“I’ll spend a lot of time in Cambodia,” she said. “I’ll spend time visiting my family members wherever they may be in the world” — including New York, it seems.
