Rapper Yella Beezy, known for his hit “That’s On Me,” has been arrested in connection with the 2020 shooting death of fellow artist MO3. The 33-year-old, 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 Mary Conway, was taken into custody on Thursday afternoon and booked into the Dallas County Jail following a grand jury indictment that charged him with felony murder.

MO3, whose real name was Melvin Noble, was tragically gunned down in broad daylight on a Dallas highway on November 11, 2020. The indictment reveals that Yella Beezy allegedly hired another man, Qan White, to carry out the hit on MO3, with the agreement involving payment for the crime. White, who was arrested about a month after the shooting, is currently serving a nine-year prison sentence on firearm-related charges.

The incident unfolded as MO3 attempted to escape from a suspect who emerged from a dark sedan. White reportedly approached MO3 with a firearm, leading to a chase and multiple shots being fired. MO3 was later pronounced dead at a local hospital, and a bystander was also injured but survived.

Yella Beezy’s legal troubles extend beyond this case. In 2021, he faced charges of felony drug possession and unlawful firearm possession after police found over 400 grams of a controlled substance in his vehicle, along with multiple firearms. This followed an earlier arrest for unlawful firearm possession after a traffic stop in his bulletproof truck.

Yella Beezy first gained notoriety in the rap scene as a teenager, releasing several mixtapes before achieving mainstream success with “Light Work Volume 2” in 2017. His music has featured collaborations with prominent artists such as Chris Brown, Lil Baby, and Young Thug. His latest album, “Bad As Yellow Boy,” was released in August 2022, marking another chapter in his evolving career. The unfolding legal situation raises significant questions about the future of the artist amid ongoing investigations into the serious charges he now faces.
