Hold on to your nerves. Stree is back, and this time, it’s war! Titled “Stree 3: Pehla Mahayudh”, the third installment in the hit horror-comedy universe created by Maddock Films is set to release in 2025, and it promises to be bigger, darker, and crazier than ever.

In a major twist, Akshay Kumar joins the universe as a ghost-hunter or spiritual warrior with a mysterious past, bringing action and high-stakes energy to the franchise. Rajkummar Rao returns as the lovable Vicky, once again caught in supernatural madness, while Shraddha Kapoor reprises her iconic role as the enigmatic Stree only this time, her true powers and origin might finally be revealed.

Varun Dhawan, whose character was introduced in Bhediya, is expected to play a key role in this “horror multiverse” war, connecting the dots between Stree, Roohi, Bhediya, and now Stree 3. Titled Pehla Mahayudh (The First Great Battle), the film reportedly features a showdown between good and evil spirits, set in a fictional town now turned battleground for supernatural forces.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, and backed by thrilling VFX, quirky humor, and folk-inspired horror, Stree 3 is shaping up to be the MCU-style horror crossover India has been waiting for. Expect the first teaser around Halloween 2024!
