Michelle Obama reveals therapy journey as she gears up for ‘next phase’ of life
(TNND) — Michelle Obama, the former first lady, has revealed she is undergoing therapy as she transitions into a new phase of her life. In a candid interview on the Jay Shetty Podcast, the 60-year-old said, “At this phase of my life, I’m in therapy right now because I’m transitioning, you know?”
“So, I’m getting that tune-up for this next phase because I believe this is a whole ‘nother phase in life for me. And I now have the wisdom to know—let me go get some coaching while I’m doing it,” she added.
Obama, who has been married to former President Barack Obama since 1992, has recently addressed rumors about the state of their marriage. In a conversation with entrepreneur Steven Bartlett, she dismissed speculation that their relationship is troubled.
“If I were having problems with my husband, everybody would know about it, I would be problem-solving in public, like, ‘Let me tell you what he did’,” she said.
Despite acknowledging the challenges of marriage, Obama emphasized her commitment to it, stating she wouldn’t trade it. She also advocated for therapy, encouraging everyone to find their own form of it in the best way they can.
