Michelle Obama reveals therapy journey as she gears up for ‘next phase’ of life

(TNND) — Michelle Obama, the former first lady, has revealed she is undergoing therapy as she transitions into a new phase of her life. In a candid interview on the Jay Shetty Podcast, the 60-year-old said, “At this phase of my life, I’m in therapy right now because I’m transitioning, you know?”

“So, I’m getting that tune-up for this next phase because I believe this is a whole ‘nother phase in life for me. And I now have the wisdom to know—let me go get some coaching while I’m doing it,” she added.

Obama, who has been married to former President Barack Obama since 1992, has recently addressed rumors about the state of their marriage. In a conversation with entrepreneur Steven Bartlett, she dismissed speculation that their relationship is troubled.

“If I were having problems with my husband, everybody would know about it, I would be problem-solving in public, like, ‘Let me tell you what he did’,” she said.

Despite acknowledging the challenges of marriage, Obama emphasized her commitment to it, stating she wouldn’t trade it. She also advocated for therapy, encouraging everyone to find their own form of it in the best way they can.

Max Verstappen hit with heavy FIA penalty over secret Ferrari test ahead of Emilia Romagna GP S-News

In a dramatic turn of events just days before the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Max Verstappen has been handed a severe penalty by the FIA after being caught participating in a secret test session with a rival team under a false identity. The reigning four-time World Champion reportedly took part in a private GT3 test at the Nurburgring Nordschleife last Friday, driving a Ferrari 296 GT3 for Emil Frey Racing under the alias Franz Hermann. Despite the disguise, his usual race suit, helmet, and unmistakable Verstappen.com livery quickly gave him away. The FIA responded swiftly, issuing a strong statement condemning the act: “This represents a clear breach of sporting regulations regarding unauthorized testing and team affiliations. The use of a false identity undermines the transparency and integrity of the sport,” the organization said. As a result, Verstappen has been fined €250,000 and handed a 10-place grid penalty for the upcoming Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. The FIA also confirmed that Red Bull Racing would undergo an internal review to determine if the team was aware or complicit. Verstappen, currently third in the championship standings behind Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, responded to the penalty during a press briefing: “It was meant to be fun and nothing more. I’ve always loved the Nordschleife and wanted to experience a GT3 there. I understand the consequences, but I didn’t expect such a heavy reaction.” Red Bull Racing has yet to release an official statement, though insiders suggest the team was unaware of Verstappen’s test outing. The incident has sent shockwaves through the paddock, with several drivers and team principals voicing concern over the precedent it could set. The spotlight will now be firmly on Verstappen as he attempts to recover from the penalty at Imola this weekend.
