Fabrizio Romano shocks fans with list of 7 Liverpool players set to leave this summer

Renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has stunned Liverpool fans with a bombshell update, revealing that up to seven first-team players are expected to leave Anfield in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Premier League champions are preparing for a major squad overhaul under new head coach Arne Slot, with several key names no longer fitting into the Dutchman’s long-term vision.

Speaking via social media, Romano declared: “Liverpool are ready to say goodbye to several players this summer — some by choice, others by circumstance. The list could include up to seven names, with the club aiming to refresh the squad for Arne Slot’s system.”

According to The Guardian, the first two players heading for the exit are Harvey Elliott and Caoimhin Kelleher. Elliott, 22, has grown frustrated with limited playing time, especially after not featuring in the 3-2 loss to Brighton on May 20. “I have to do what’s best for my career,” Elliott told reporters — a clear hint that a departure may be imminent.

Kelleher is also expected to leave in search of regular first-team football, with the Republic of Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson publicly advising him to find a new club. Liverpool have already lined up Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia as a £29 million replacement.

Defensive stalwarts Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas are also facing uncertain futures. With Liverpool closing in on Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez for around £45 million, both left-backs may be offloaded. Tsimikas has attracted interest from Leeds United, while Robertson is being monitored by several Premier League clubs.

Centre-back Ibrahima Konaté is another name on the watchlist. Entering the final year of his contract, the Frenchman has yet to be offered an extension, sparking speculation over his long-term future at Anfield.

In attack, the situation is equally tense. Luis Díaz is being heavily courted by Barcelona, where sporting director Deco has openly expressed admiration for the Colombian winger, seeing him as a rotational option for Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.

Meanwhile, Darwin Núñez could also be set for a summer exit. According to Express, the Uruguayan striker is being tracked by Napoli, Atletico Madrid, Al Nassr, and River Plate. Despite flashes of brilliance, Núñez has scored just 25 Premier League goals in two seasons — a modest return given his hefty price tag.

With the summer window fast approaching, Liverpool’s rebuilding project is taking shape — and major changes are on the horizon. Fans can expect more surprises as Arne Slot begins molding the next era at Anfield.
