Marvel Studios has officially dropped the first trailer for Shang-Chi 2: The Wreckage of Time, and it’s everything fans hoped for—fierce action, emotional stakes, and a shocking glimpse at the collapse of the multiverse.
Simu Liu returns as Shang-Chi, now fully wielding the mystical Ten Rings. But the trailer reveals that the rings have awakened more than just ancient power—they’ve drawn the attention of forces outside time itself. With reality fracturing, Shang-Chi must team up with Wong (Benedict Wong), Xialing (Meng’er Zhang), and a mysterious new warrior played by Henry Golding to stop the unraveling of the universe.
The trailer opens with Shang-Chi standing atop a ruined temple, surrounded by floating fragments of alternate timelines. “The rings don’t just carry power,” narrates Wong, “They carry memory… and memory breaks time.”
Trailer highlights:
-
Stunning martial arts battles through collapsing timelines and frozen moments in history
-
Shang-Chi facing alternate versions of himself—some noble, some monstrous
-
The reveal of a masked villain called The Chrono Serpent, manipulating past and future to rewrite destiny
-
A chilling cameo from Loki (Tom Hiddleston), warning: “You’re not the only one who broke the timeline.”
The visual effects are mind-bending, blending Doctor Strange-style dimensional warping with fast-paced fight choreography choreographed by Andy Cheng. The tone mixes introspection with epic scale, setting the stage for Marvel’s Phase 6 crescendo.
Shang-Chi 2: The Wreckage of Time will premiere globally on November 14, 2025, in theaters and IMAX formats.
