The Book of the Dead has reopened once again—this time with bloodier consequences.
EVIL DEAD: BLOODLINE, the upcoming horror-fantasy installment of the cult franchise, just dropped its official teaser trailer, and fans of gore, demons, and cabin-in-the-woods terror are in for a nightmare ride. Slated for release in October 2026, the new chapter sees Jane Levy returning as Mia, the tormented survivor from 2013’s critically acclaimed Evil Dead reboot.
Directed by Fede Álvarez and produced by Sam Raimi, Bloodline expands the mythology of the Necronomicon with a new setting: a cursed mountain village built atop a forgotten Sumerian tomb. The teaser shows cryptic symbols bleeding from trees, grotesque spirits twisting out of mirrors, and a terrifying new form of the Kandarian demon—suggesting that this time, the evil runs through Mia’s veins.
“You don’t run from blood… when it’s yours,” Mia says in a chilling line, as her own reflection in a cracked mirror smiles back with demonic eyes.
The film is said to blend the relentless violence of the 2013 reboot with the occult world-building of the original trilogy, featuring nods to Ash Williams, and hints at an ancestral link between Mia and the Book itself.
EVIL DEAD: BLOODLINE promises to deliver the most unrelenting chapter yet—one where the dead don’t just rise… they remember.
Distributed by Lionsgate and Ghost House Pictures, the film hits theaters just in time for Halloween: October 18, 2026.
