Despite earning over $400 million, one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, Tyson, purchased a six-bedroom, seven-bathroom mansion in 2015 for $2.5 million. This purchase came after Tyson had experienced financial difficulties, declaring bankruptcy in 2003 with $23 million in debt.

During his prime, Tyson indulged in extravagant spending, lavishing approximately $300 million on mansions, luxury vehicles, diamonds, and even pet tigers. Although his current mansion in Henderson, Nevada, near Sin City, is sizeable with its 10,400-square-foot space on nearly an acre in Seven Hills, it does not boast the opulence typically associated with billionaires. Celebrity mansions usually average around $20 million in value.

The Italian-style home features custom iron railings, arched entrances, vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, stone fireplaces, marble flooring, and a grand marble staircase. The property also includes two casitas, one with an apartment, providing additional living space.

Impressive amenities are present, including a video room, wine cellar, two spacious master suites (one on each floor), a disappearing-edge pool, a spa, an outdoor kitchen, and a large covered terrace.

The gourmet kitchen is equipped with high-end Thermador stainless steel appliances, a substantial island with a breakfast bar, and custom cabinetry.

Despite his past financial struggles, Tyson continues to make headlines. Recently, he was involved in an altercation on a flight to Florida. A video showed Tyson punching an aggressive passenger who had been harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was seated. Tyson’s spokesperson explained the incident, stating that the aggressive passenger initiated the confrontation, and Tyson defended himself.

Authorities detained two suspects, and one individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries at the scene. However, the person involved provided limited information and refused to cooperate with the police investigation, according to the San Francisco police.
