The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, June 24, reveals that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will make a big confession to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) while Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) needs an urgent trip to the hospital.
At The Shadow Room, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will stop by and leave Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) uneasy when he wants to look around again.
Noah will make it clear that he doesn’t think Matt is redeemable and that he’ll kill Matt himself if Matt hurts anyone he loves.
Matt will keep his cool and plead for a chance to prove himself, but Noah will act like Matt could never change enough to become a human being in his eyes.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will follow Matt inside and seem eager to protect him, but Noah will hope Phyllis doesn’t find out the hard way that Matt doesn’t need that protection.
After Matt asks Phyllis if they can talk, they’ll sit down together at the GCAC.
That’s where Matt will shower Phyllis with compliments and surprise her by asking her out on a dinner date.
At Crimson Lights, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will open up to Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) about his latest meeting being difficult.
Nick will also admit he dreams about surrendering to drugs and wakes up feeling guilty it.
After Sharon offers support, Nick will run into his former drug dealer on the patio.
The drug dealer will seem hopeful about selling more product to Nick, who’ll push him to leave and warn him not to come back.
Noah will pick up on the tense vibe as he arrives, so Nick will ultimately admit the guy has sold him drugs before.
Although Noah will think Nick is a hero for conquering his issues, Nick won’t think he’s anybody’s hero anymore.
Back at the athletic club, Victor will pressure Claire and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to tell him what’s going on with Nikki, but they won’t spill details.
When Nikki pops up on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, she’ll rant about Victor needing to back off since this doesn’t concern him.
Nikki will head to the park café with Victoria, who’ll once again push her mom to tell Victor about her true medical problem.
However, Nikki will stand her ground and argue that she doesn’t need Victor’s help to deal with this.
After Nikki has another headache, her vision will blur and make it hard to see Victoria right in front of her.
It’ll rattle Nikki, so she’ll push Victoria to take her to the hospital right away.
Back with Claire, she’ll give Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) a vague version of the dilemma she’s facing when it comes to her grandparents.
Holden will wonder if Claire would rather keep a secret that’s going to come out anyway or spill it so Victor and Nikki can face whatever it is together.
Claire will end up heading over to the ranch, where she’ll give Victor the news about Nikki’s mass pressing on her optic nerve and the potential for her to go blind.
