Rasmus Hojlund is expected to travel to England on Tuesday to undergo his medical at Manchester United ahead of his move to the club, according to reports.
United agreed a £72million deal with Hojlund’s current employer Atalanta on Sunday following numerous back and forth discussions between the two clubs.
The 20-year-old has been chased by the Premier League giant as United boss Erik ten Hag made Hojlund his top transfer target in a bid to solve the team’s lack of goals.
The Danish international was desperate to make the switch to Old Trafford and will undergo his medical on Tuesday once he has arrived at the club’s Carrington training complex, as per The Athletic.
Hojlund has already agreed personal terms with United and will sign a five-year contract with the option of an extra year.

United were able to negotiate on the original £86m asking price touted by Atalanta, however, will still have to pay a huge fee for a player boasting just nine goals in Serie A last season.
Ten Hag evidently believes in the youngster’s potential to help transform the club into Premier League title challengers and will be hoping to work with his latest signing once United touchdown back in Manchester after completing their pre-season tour of America.
His impending medical signals United as the winners in the race for the striker’s signature after Paris Saint-Germain threatened to derail the English side’s pursuit.
Hojlund is a self-confessed Red Devils supporter and has pushed hard to try and secure a move to the 13-time Premier League champions once they registered their interest.

He will become United’s third new signing of the summer following the arrivals of Mason Mount from Chelsea and former Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Hojlund will have to adjust to the demands of English top-flight football and is expected to be given a bedding-in period, but his arrival could spell the end for some of the club’s other attackers.
Anthony Martial has been tipped for a summer departure after struggling for fitness last season, while Jadon Sancho has also previously been mentioned as well.
Hojlund could make his Old Trafford debut in United’s pre-season friendly clash against Ligue 1 side Lens on Saturday.
