David Beckham was ‘up all night’ playing with Lego while he was playing for England, his ex teammate has claimed.

The first the first English player to win league titles in four countries, the footballer is often regarded as one of the best England players of all time.

But during his down time, David, 48, unwinded from the pressures of the game by building Lego into the wee hours.

Goalkeeper Ben Foster said on his Fozcast podcast: ‘He used to bring Lego sets to England. He would go into his room and just do Lego all night.

‘It would proper chill him out. He would just sit there, do his Lego set, have a nice time. Lovely.’

David made his England debut in September 1996 and captained the team for six years during his tenure.

It comes after David took to Instagram on Monday to share an adorable photo of him getting his make-up done by his daughter Harper.

The former footballer was snapped sitting still as the 12-year-old concentrated hard while applying touch-ups with a make-up brush.

Captioning the photo, he revealed that Harper had insisted on giving him some ‘powder and contouring’.

He wrote: ‘Daddy apparently needed a little powder & contouring (not sure what that means but I looked better what ever it was).’

David then fondly added: ‘my little makeup artist’.

It appears Harper is following in her mother’s footsteps as Victoria, 49, has her own make-up brand.

Following the success of her eponymous womenswear label, the Spice Girl launched her own beauty line, Victoria Beckham Beauty in 2019.

Harper, who has been trying out some of her mum’s products, has even joined her mother on research and business trips for the company.

Victoria revealed earlier this year that Harper has been able to ‘contour for quite some time’, as she revealed she shares her passion for make-up.

She told the Times: ‘She’s been able to do a full face and contour for quite some time. She’s good at doing it very naturally.’

She also revealed how their shared love of beauty means they love going shopping for cosmetics together.

Victoria said: ‘Going to Space NK is her favourite treat after school. If she does well in a test I’ll take her to the one down the road — it’s her favourite thing. She’s obsessed.’
