Known for terrifying franchises like Paranormal Activity and The Purge, as well as newer sensations like M3GAN and Five Nights at Freddy’s, Blumhouse has grossed nearly $6 billion worldwide while keeping production costs low.
Though plot details remain under wraps, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group’s Adam Fogelson teased a “new vision for Blair Witch that will reintroduce this horror classic to a new generation.” The announcement came at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where it was revealed that this film is the first in a multi-picture deal between Blumhouse and Lionsgate, aimed at reimagining horror classics. Their recent collaboration, Imaginary, a thriller about a sinister teddy bear, shows just how chilling their partnership can be.
