ZIDANE IQBAL is on the brink of leaving Manchester United permanently according to reports.
The 20-year-old is rated highly by many but failed to play any first-team football in Erik ten Hag’s maiden season at Old Trafford.

And according to reports, the Red Devils are set to sell the midfielder to FC Utrecht for just under £1million.
That’s according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, who tweeted: “Man Utd have accepted an offer from FC Utrecht to sign Zidane Iqbal on a permanent transfer.
“Deal for 20yo Iraq midfielder worth up to €1m + significant sell-on clause for #MUFC.
“Medical done, set to join on 4yr contract.”
The news of the Iraq international’s imminent departure didn’t go down well with some of the Old Trafford faithful.
One United supporter tweeted: “This is crazy man. Zidane Iqbal is worth more than €1m.”
Another said: ” This is embarrassing, how do we sell such talent? Come on!”
And another said: “This club embarrasses us every single window, can’t sell, can’t buy. Just f***ing s**t.”
One remarked: “WTF?”
Another chimed in: “Another brilliant handling of youth by the United of Manchester.”
Some fans then took aim at Ten Hag for allowing the talented midfielder to move on to pastures new.
They tweeted: “Ten Hag didn’t let him go to the U20s world cup, held him hostage, and didn’t even give him minutes.”

One furious Red Devil ranted by saying: “Yeah Ten Hag, lost the absolute plot with the youth.
“Selling [James] Garner and Iqbal whilst giving no minutes to [Anthony] Elanga or [Facundo] Pellistri.
“Not to mention blocking many from the U20 World Cup.
“Still back ETH and want him to succeed, but this is baffling, to say the least.”
