Friday night’s game between the New York Rangers and Dallas Stars saw an intense moment when Matt Rempe was ejected for a crushing hit on Miro Heiskanen.
The incident occurred at 7:13 into the third period in the neutral zone. Heiskanen had just passed the puck when Rempe came from behind and elbowed him in the back of the neck, smashing Heiskanen into the glass board.

Rempe was assessed a five-minute elbowing penalty that came with a game misconduct, resulting in his ejection. It was a dangerous hit that caught Heiskanen in a vulnerable position.
The Rangers went on to win the game 3-1 over the Stars. Roope Hintz scored the lone goal for Dallas. New York got goals from Chris Kreider, Reilly Smith and Vincent Trocheck to secure the victory.
The New York Rangers face the Carolina Hurricanes next at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.
