The ultimate slasher showdown is here. The newly released trailer for Michael Myers vs Ghostface (2025) has sent shockwaves through the horror community, teasing an epic collision between two of cinema’s most iconic 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ers.
Set for release on Halloween 2025, the film is a joint production between Blumhouse Productions and Spyglass Media Group, bringing together the haunting silence of Haddonfield’s masked boogeyman and the taunting phone calls of the Ghostface 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁er from Woodsboro.
The trailer opens with a chilling voiceover: “Every town has a nightmare. This year, they meet.” We then see a blood-soaked suburban street, sirens blaring in the background, before the screen cuts to black — and the heavy breathing of Ghostface begins.
In a twisted turn of fate, both 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ers find themselves in the same town on Halloween night. While Myers stalks his usual prey in the shadows, Ghostface begins targeting survivors of previous massacres. Their paths collide when both 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ers set their sights on the same victim — leading to a deadly game of one-upmanship and, ultimately, a terrifying battle for dominance.
The trailer teases brutal 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s, suspenseful chase scenes, and moments of unexpected dark humor. Horror fans will also notice several Easter eggs referencing the Halloween and Scream franchises — including an aged Laurie Strode’s photo on a news bulletin and a bloodied voice changer found in a school locker.
Though plot details remain largely under wraps, the final shot of the trailer — Michael Myers and Ghostface slowly circling each other in a fog-drenched alley — has already gone viral, with fans calling it “the fight horror has been waiting for.”
Directed by David Gordon Green and written by a collaboration of horror veterans, Michael Myers vs Ghostface promises to be a must-watch for fans of both franchises. The tagline says it all: “One mask must fall.”
The film slashes into theaters on October 31, 2025.
